This drama based on a novel by Seicho Matsumoto, a very famous novel which published at 1960. A lot of people assumed that suicide began at the forest because of this novel. Widely known by Aokigahara. But i never read the book before, so i can't compare the book and the movie.

The movie start with a warm relationship between the sisters. How the younger sister (Keiko Kitagawa) cherish her older sister (Koike Eiko) since their parent died. After the loss, they mutually dependent with each other. But one day, the older sister died in bus accident. Nothing special from the accident until the younger sister realized that her sister isn't supposed going there, Nagoya.

A big question mark appeared. Why? I like when the younger sister start realized and make a calculation by her self, i like an independent character, and she doing her best here. Not in her Tantei no Tantei which is too strong and make the character looks so fake. Here, she placed the role very well.

The story goes with a lot of question. When she got a hint, she lost it because the one who give her a hint died. Police confidently think that the one who gave a hint to her, end her life by suicide. Let's think again, in a book like this, police is dumbest people who're not doing their job properly. And it leads the younger sister working her best for collect a hint by her self. Er, actually not by her self, she has a man who guide and help her.

Yes, Mukai Osamu help her! A celebrity reporter who win an award (forgot the name of the award he got back then). But as a time goes by, she also doubt about his partner kindness because he's a celebrity read the synopsis.

Actually, when i saw the poster of the movie, i had a speculation about the victim and the villain. But when i saw the whole movie, and the casts who are playing there, my speculation disappear. Why? Because the casts are famous, and also the cameos. That's why i said at twitter, watching a movie is like reading a book. this one, is not an openly book. And i love it.

The acting of each casts are splendid. The bond of the sisters, the celebrities, cameos, and the partner of the younger sister. It goes smooth. How the story guide the audience for hate one character, build a strong personality, and patched the small holes of the story, i really like it!

Watching this movie really gives me a warm feeling at the end. How the end of the story makes me cried, and said "Ah, so it's been like that." After watched the movie, i want read the book. At some points, i felt the ending a little bit flat. It's like if the producer make it detail, it will be longer than the expectation. But i like the movie, a typical telling one.

If my friend asking for a good suspense, i will give this movie.

Ps. Koike Eiko's face looks like my aunt's. When i saw her in drama, i always told my aunt. And she always saying "Yes, my twins more famous than me. But I'm prettier." LOL
