Synopsis

Nagasato Daisuke is a 39-year old bachelor with an extremely negative attitude towards marriage, but by no means an unattractive man. However, he truly believes that he'd "rather be alone." Averse to taking the risk of bringing in other people into his living space, he protects it as if it was his castle, and is fully enjoying his idiosyncratic single life. Kumagai Hanako, on the other hand, is a 32-year old divorcee who works for a major trading firm. She has her own distinct thoughts about being single, doesn't want to get married again, and already planning for her life after retirement. She’s a hard worker who has a strong sense of responsibility for her work, but at the same time, has a critical temperament and is strict with others.

When these two meet, they fight constantly, but they're actually similar in a lot ways. When Daisuke's father and Hanako's mother barge into their respective homes, their comfortable single life comes to an end. -- TBS

I finished it in 3 days. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. At the first time i don't have a high expectation in this Dorama. Why? Because recently, i feel boring with romance dorama. But when i saw Katori Shingo and Ueno Juri, i decided to watch it. Maybe it will be entertain me when i do a lot of chores.

It begins with a very detail, perfectionist man, who works in a stationery company called PENNA. Saw a lot of stationery makes me hyper happy! Because I'm collecting a cute stationery, specially planner. Okay, back to story. This man nearly 40, and still living alone, decided not to get married. Or i could say, he actually married his own life, a bachelor with his own castle. After his perfect life started, finally the intruder coming, his father with his child from another woman. Well, the meeting is kinda funny. His father unintentionally makes the fire alarm ringing. Why? because he makes a smoked fish in the terrace. The smoke reach the alarm, and the firefighters coming, with all of apartment dwellers look so worried with the false alarm.

And the fun story begin.

These days, a lot of people in their 25-45 old is too comfortable with their own pace. Working, make a good relation, party, back to their home, and already mark their life as a comfort zone. I thought living that way isn't bad, alone doesn't mean lonely. But this dorama teach the audience to understand that living with other people is much better than living alone. Two is better than one, and three much better than two.

This dorma always left a warm feeling in every episode. How you accept someone, protect them, and realize that you need them to be around you. But surely, it needs process.

I really love the connection between Katori Shingo and Ueno Juri. They make the dorama feels so real, with the story which is related with a lot of people. This comedy, family, romance drama, very entertaining. I like when his father taking care with his sons' (Katori Shingo and his younger step brother)  problem, and how the son 'got' the nuisance as his new pace. Even tho he also said mean things.

Maybe our family isn't not perfect, but we trying to fulfill our life with good memories.
